Trail Overview
Hard Access used to be a harder route than taking Runway up the mountain, but has become even more difficult. This trail is a mild flat trail halfway up, then makes an immediate change in difficulty due to short, vertical rock ledges that can make you feel like you will tip backward trying to climb them. This route has loose rock and very fertile black soil that easily chews up but doesn't clog up your tires. Once at the top, it is a very steep, hard-packed crawl that peaks you out on top of Runway Bypass.

Difficulty
Before the ledges, this trail is rated a 4 in difficulty. Once you make it to the ledges, they are on average about 3 feet in height, which barely bumps it past a 5 in difficulty due to the 3-foot restriction.
