Trail Overview
USFSR #536 - Rattlesnake Mountain is primarily ridden by equine riders who fancy the nearby horse camp, but the main route is legal to motor vehicles. This gravel-packed road leads to a gated road that takes you to a lookout tower that the trail is named after. Many other trails lead off this one, but this is the only one that is listed on the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). This trail is a seasonal trail that is open 10/01-02/29, but the horse camp is open year-round. Be mindful of the 4-legged modes of transportation that could be around any corner. Trail 529A to the left is considered a horse trail only.
