Trail Overview
This trail sports varying terrain including, loose deep sand, gravel, erosion, water damage, rocks, and off-camber situations. This trail was run from East to West, and gets rougher the further West you go, specifically around Deadman Wash. There are off-camber wash crossings, as well as steep entrances and exits that might cause you to hang a tire or two in the air. There are sections of deep, soft sand. There are some sneaky rocks in the trail hidden by the long grasses. There are hill climbs on this trail as you head up the wash and into the saddle. There are many shorter offshoot trails that intersect with this main trail, many of them leading to campsites with primitive rock rings. Please do check local forest service listings if you decide to have a fire, as this area is prone to large and uncontrollable wildfires.
