Trail Overview
The 2072 Loop Trail is a pleasant trail that dips in and out of the ponderosa pines and large meadows that make up this area of the Kaibab National Forest. Rocky at times, this trail has no major obstacles. It does, however, have mud ruts that can be quite problematic if you catch them after a rain or snow event. The adjacent meadows are a pleasant place to observe the local antelope and deer, and maybe elk that roam this area. Popular with hunters, there are pullouts and several spots to camp in this area. There is no cell service in this area, so offline maps are a must. This area is also popular with cattle grazing, mainly between May and November, so it's important to close all gates behind you.
