Trail Overview
This trail begins from Vulture Mine Road. The entrance can be sneaky to spot off the pavement. There are several nice dispersed campsites along the beginning of the trail with some cell service. They are very close to the main road, so there could be road noise. The trail then pops down a steep hill into a main wash. This section is loose sandy gravel. The wash has some neat rocks and cliffsides to check out as it twists along. Then the trail heads up a steep hill and stays along the plateau until it meets up with the 9055 Garcia Tank Trail. The upper portion of this trail is fun and fast-moving. It's just some nice smooth dirt with a few narrow sections of desert plants here and there. The views of the mountains from the upper part of that trail are beautiful, and there are lots of saguaro and cholla cacti. There is no shade, and this area gets unbelievably hot in the summer months. Springtime is the best season to explore these trails. The plants are green and flowering. Bring extra water if traveling during the warmer months. There are two bars of AT&T cell service at the beginning of the trail close to the highway, progressing to no service the further you travel.

Difficulty
The three rating is for the tight steep hills into and out of the wash. The first one is short but overgrown with desert bushes, and the top is quite steep. The second hill is longer and a bit off-camber. There are tight areas in the wash and a few looser sandy sections.
