Trail Overview
There is a nice dispersed campsite off the beginning of the trail with easy access for any vehicle. The spot has a lovely view of the mountains. Vehicles must remain on posted routes. The trail crosses a sandy wash several times before heading up a hill and running along a narrow ridgeline above the wash. The views from the ridge are beautiful. There are lots of saguaro and cholla forests. The route features a couple of long, loose, rocky, narrow hills. A majority of this trail is in the Box Wash. Some of the wash has narrow sections, and some of it is very wide open. It is primarily loose sand but is generally a nice, easy wash run. There is some AT&T cell service at the beginning and end of the trail but none in the middle, so be sure to download your offline maps before you go so you can track your location.

Difficulty
This trail is rated a 3 because of the loose sandy wash that narrows and widens. Based on the ruts left behind by others, some sections may be impassable when wet. There are a few loose hill climbs and descents, but nothing terribly difficult.
