Trail Overview

Bulldog canyon gives access to the stunning Goldfield mountains and the Sonoran Desert. The trail is open to unlicensed vehicles, but be sure to stay on the designated path-offtrail riding has put this route under threat of closure. Bulldog Canyon is maintained, but it is difficult to anticipate conditions due to erosion. You will need a special, free permit to access this trail, available at recreation.gov. The permit will contain a combination to unlock the gates. Camping is available in a few areas along the way.

Access Description

This trail has five entrances, all with locked gates. We choose to enter via the Blue Point Entrance off Bush Highway, located 1.7 miles east of Usury Pass Road.
