Trail Overview
Cole Campbell is a great way to start or end your day of trail running. Wide enough to enjoy the scenery, the only real obstructions on this trail are the mud ruts if they happen to get too deep. Primarily red dirt, this could turn to sticky mud or clay during the rainy season or after snow. On this trail, the views are amazing, as it bobs and weaves through the high prairie of the Prescott National Forest. A popular area with hunters, the wildlife in this area includes elk, mule deer, antelope, javelina, and various birds. While mostly traveling through the vast grasslands, this trail skirts the hills, which are covered with juniper and mixed pine trees. There is no cell service on this trail.
