Trail Overview
Epic, Interrupted is a soft lament of what could have been an amazing, long, and beautiful trail. The eastern end of the trail is an off-camber erosion fest of Arizona's backcountry. Primarily rock and dirt, there are no major obstacles along this trail. You will encounter some wash crossings, some with steep entrances and exits, and some off-camber erosion, but nothing too gnarly. Wide in some spots, and narrow in others, you'll go by large outcroppings of granite boulders that look like they somehow escaped Joshua Tree, or maybe the Alabama Hills. There is no service along this trail, so offline maps are recommended, and some of the erosion and washes might be flowing should you come in the rainy season. Sadly, what could be an awesome and long trail is terminated by a locked gate on the western end.
