Trail Overview
FR 420 is an interesting forest road. This trail is hilly, rocky, and one-lane with narrow sections. The hill sections are loose and rock-lined, and there you're surrounded by dense forest for pretty much the entirety of the trail. The hills have some erosion and water damage to them, but other than that, there are no obstacles on this trail. There is no cell service either, so offline maps are recommended. Because of the surrounding dense forest, there may be downed trees across the trail, so it would be wise to carry a large handsaw or chainsaw, as obstructions are possible. There are few places to turn around or pass on this trail due to the vegetation. There is one small shelf on an uphill, but nothing too gnarly.
