Trail Overview
This level, the easy short route follows FS 46 Stinson Road west from FS 139. It is through prime wild horse habitat. Driving slowly will increase your chances of viewing the majestic animals that have lived wild in the area for almost 300 years. The horses are wild and should not be approached. The Clay Pit Rd turns south at the end. This route continues as FS 46 Clay Chaos and becomes more and more difficult. The Junction Water Tank is 300 feet west of this route's end and frequented by the wild horses. Park, walk, sit, wait and the horses will appear.

History
The huge piles of horse poo are done by the stallions. These "stud piles" are mounds of manure left by rival stallions in the wild to mark their territory.
