Trail Overview
The Half Mile Access Road is an absolutely gorgeous trail. Wide and gravel, it's relatively smooth the whole way through. From the ridgeline, you'll see huge groves of aspen trees that have boomed in growth since the wildfire cleaned the environment in recent years. There are no obstacles on this trail, but you won't need to speed either, because you'll miss all of the beauty. There's no need to have a cell phone out on this trail as there is no service, so all of your attention can be captivated by the natural beauty of your surroundings. The views from this trail are amazing, and you might see deer, elk, and other wildlife along the way. Towards the north end of the trail, there are large campsites that can accommodate trailers up to fifth wheels and toy haulers.
