Happy's Runoff

Trail Overview

Happy's Runoff is a mixed dirt and rock trail. It's a fun technical driving trail with multiple washouts and wash crossings, some of them off-camber. One even has a railroad tie in it to make the crossing easier. Speckled with creosote and cactus, this area is ruggedly beautiful. This land requires a yearly permit that can be purchased and printed online. The permit allows certain recreational activities, including camping, bicycling, bird watching, GPS-based recreational activities (geocaching), hiking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle (OHV) usage, photography, picnicking, and sightseeing.

Happy's Runoff is an unmaintained dirt track with multiple gnarly wash crossings and erosion points. Some of these entrances and exits are off-camber. Sections are only one vehicle wide with few areas to pass.
