Trail Overview
The Hitt Wash Connection Trail is a narrow out-and-back trail lined with burberry bushes and small trees that meanders through this section of the Prescott National Forest. It is at times very narrow, and paint damage is guaranteed on this trail. It also has erosion and wash crossings, but no major obstacles. There is no cell service on this trail, so offline maps are essential. The trail travels north where it hits a wash of deep sand behind a gate proclaiming the governance of the Arizona Fish and Game Department. The wash is open for exploration, and terminates with a fence across it, marking the private property beyond.
