Trail Overview
This bumpy loop around the small mountain is the fun access to Jimmie Wash. The primary road access is gated and wired shut. This trail loops around to bypass that with some fun off-camber transitions, short loose hill climbs, and good wildlife viewing. There are quail and coyotes; if you're lucky, you will spot a deer. There is even a nice campsite with a view and a few bars of 5G cell service. There's a nicely varied forest of saguaro cacti with some old ones with lots of arms. It's slow going and rough with lots of washouts; take your time and enjoy the spring wildflowers of yellow, purple, and white if you're here during the spring. Being aired down will help with traction and comfort. Be aware this is the desert, so bring lots of water and extra supplies in case of an emergency. There are a few Verizon LTE bars that fade in and out.
