Trail Overview
This is a loop trail from the easy main trail, Katherine Mine Trail. One end of the loop is more heavily traveled than the other. The entire trail is a loose, sandy wash trail. The trail loops around a large mountain and heads into a beautiful canyon. The canyon is relatively short, but the rock formations are beautiful, and it feels miles away from civilization. The more heavily traveled side of the loop continues down the canyon and eventually ends at private property. This section of trail is very loose natural gravel with deep ruts from more vehicles using it. The other side of the loop is more overgrown, and the trail is harder to spot. Washes can change with the storms; please keep this in mind when traveling this trail. This area can also get extremely hot in the summer months. Bring extra water and supplies if traveling during the summer.
