Trail Overview
One of the intersections of the Hull Cabin Road will find you at Old 301 Road. On this trail, you can experience a snapshot of the history of the high-elevation forests of ponderosa pine that skirt the Grand Canyon. Elk have made these forests their homes for decades. On this short journey, you'll drive through an old burn scar, see toppled and old-growth trees, and see newer editions like rustic corrals and "tanks" (watering holes for cattle). With the only obstacles being some rutted and muddy areas on this 1.5- to 2-lane wide road, you shouldn't have any problems enjoying this drive.
