Trail Overview
Old Camp Wood Road is an interesting and challenging trail. It starts and stays narrow throughout, with paint damage guaranteed. It is rocky and meanders through the hills of this area of the Prescott National Forest. The further west you go, the gnarlier it gets, with large rocks, boulders, ledges, and even sections of dry creekbeds to run through. The trail continues past this mapped section. There is no cell service on this trail, so offline maps are essential as well as possible recovery gear--line choice on some of the obstacles is tricky.
