Trail Overview
The Uphill Slog Trail is a challenging rock track that almost immediately starts into a steep, long, rocky climb. With washouts and erosion, you'll have to take it slow, and choose lines wisely as it's evident that this trail is shaped and reshaped by the running waters of Arizona's monsoons. Sneaky rocks, ledges, and wash crossings with steep entrances and exits is what you're in for all the way to the top. There are a few large camping loops at the bottom / start of the track near AZ Highway 78 that trailers can fit into, with primitive rock rings for campfires, though check local fire rules as this is wildfire country and restrictions are almost always in place, especially during the summer.
