Trail Overview
The mileage for this short trail is 1.5 miles long and ends at a parking area that overlooks the Verde River. The parking area also provides access to a short hike down to the river. This trail follows Forest Service Road 9515 which is marked in several spots. This trail is easy with several small rocky areas and some small ruts peppered on the trail. The trail takes a left turn before dropping down to the parking area. This left turn is pretty uneven width-wise and will have a rig leaning hard to the left. After this turn, it's a short distance to the parking area. There are several camping sites and staging areas along this trail. The parking area is a nice place to watch trains go back and forth above the canyon. If you are lucky, you may see pronghorn antelope on this trail.
