Trail Overview
Rush Canyon Road starts as pavement on the north side of Sierra Highway. Once the pavement ends on the way up the hill, it is a mostly flat dirt road. It is a short road that ends at restrooms and a nice open area to park your rig and trailer if one is hooked up to the rig. This is the same open area where OHVs can be unloaded if they are not street-legal but have seasonal stickers. During most of the year, this road is maintained and mostly smooth. During wet seasons, this road can get washed out and deep ruts appear across and down the road. There will also be spots of collected water build-up that can get pretty deep and muddy. It is possible in 2WD at all times of the year. During the snow season, 4WD is highly recommended. Cell service is available throughout the whole area, and gas stations are within six miles of this OHV area, so being stranded is not much of an issue to worry about here.

Difficulty
During most times of year, this road is a 1. If there is rain or snow, the trail can easily become a 3 due to deep ruts and water build-up causing water crossings and thick mud.
