Trail Overview

You will encounter various types of terrain on this 5.5-mile trail through the Argus Range: sand, rock obstacles, off-camber sections, steep inclines and declines, and washed-out and rutted stretches. The trail is primarily in BLM land but there are a couple of short sections where you will go through the Naval Weapons Area. If you wander too far off the trail, you will see the warning signs. There are many uphills and downhills. Watch your speed as slight drop-offs and bumps are common. Two sections are both rocky and can have deep ruts. Spring can bring some spectacular wildflower super blooms.
