Trail Overview
Barr Trail is a fun ATV Trail in the Rampart Range Recreation Area that starts at the Flatrocks Trailhead off Rampart Range Road. It steadily descends 1,200 feet over 3.6 miles all the way to the tiny town of Sprucewood, where you can ride your ATV to get lunch at the Sprucewood Inn. It'll be a long climb when going back up the other direction. The trail is really curvy the whole way, with big wide sweeping corners with banked edges. It's mostly a smooth two-track of gravel and dirt and goes past a couple of slabs of rock or big granite boulders. It's also troughed in sections, where the trail is a couple of feet below the forest floor with dirt walls on each side. Overall this is an easy trail that makes for a fun ride, and a unique opportunity to ride to lunch on your ATV.
