Trail Overview
This is a new advanced single track within the Penrose Commons Recreation Area. It goes through a ravine at the base of the rocky mesas, tight between pinyon pine, and constantly rides over embedded boulders and rock piles. You have to weave around large boulders in the trail and go over several challenging rock features. There are big rock step-ups and drop-offs that are several feet high and will require careful tire placement and clutch control. Parts of the ravine are filled in with big boulders like a rock garden, and it goes next to unique walls of rock that are really scenic. The trail is constantly just riding over boulders and through rock pinches. Some of the tallest obstacles that are several-foot high blunt ledges are on the south end of the trail. It gradually goes downhill from north to south, so you'll be going down most of the obstacles in that direction. This trail is a super fun ride and a really good challenge for those wanting to practice some hard enduro.
