Trail Overview
Smooth, flat, and loose gravel is what this route is all about. It's super wide with no washboard. There is access to the St. Antony Sand Dunes Open Area off this trail. These access trails head off to the north side of the dunes. Just be sure to follow all posted signs if you head out to the dunes and bring a flag whip. The sand gets really soft real quick. Airing down before you leave the main grader is advised. No previously established dispersed campsites were spotted along this route. The route is on BLM land, and some offshoots may have a camp spot or two. There are also a few bars of Verizon LTE, but it's not a super strong service.
