Trail Overview
Starting From the Raft River Side, you will pass by dry farms on a well-maintained gravel road as you make your way up the Sawtooth National Forest. As you make your way from the high desert and into more forest, full of aspens and pine trees, the elevation of the limestone mountains around you drastically increases. As you go through the North Heglar Canyon, it will suddenly open into the Mill Flats Campground, an excellent place for large families to gather and explore the surrounding area. You will then continue as you pass Sheep Canyon and make your way to the Sublett Reservoir. Once you pass into the Sawtooth National Forest, plenty of dispersed camping is also along this route.
