Trail Overview
Please keep in mind this is private property and is only accessible by attending the Panhandle Overland rally and is accessible one weekend a year. So please be respectful of this private property for the rest of the year. This short loop is the official rally obstacle course. It's open the whole weekend from 8 am to 8 pm, with a small daily break for the backroads 4WD training sessions. There are a few nice spots to camp along the route if you wish to watch people wheel past your camp, or if you prefer a more remote location with room for up to 4 rigs max in each site. The trail has steep loose climbs and off-camber sections. In addition, there will be a few challenging ditches carved in and deep holes for suspension flexing sections. Inexperienced off-road drivers should only attempt with the Backroad 4WD training class, or you may become the subject of the recovery clinic. There are two bars of LTE cell service here.
