Trail Overview
The Peach Muley Cutoff singletrack is 3.5 miles long from Peach-Cinnabar down to the Lower Muley Creek ATV Trail. The majority of the trail is an easier and more mellow singletrack compared to the surrounding trails like Fivemile Creek and Peach-Cinnabar. It has a mix of easier sections and more challenging technical sections. There are a few easier switchbacks in the beginning that are wide and gradual enough to ride fluidly. It goes through a rocky exposed side-hill section right away which is moderate difficulty. When side-hilling, you need to weigh the outside peg so that you don't lose your rear end. There is a rock outcropping jutting out over the trail during a narrow section that you need to watch out for as you are dropping down. The trail descends steeply down to a rutted creek bottom ravine that you have to cross, before climbing back up. There are some one-foot tall ledges created by embedded rock and roots. There are lots of little rocks filling in the trail at times, but also much more mellow sections that are smooth and flowy. It goes up and down the rolling mountain tops. It overall ascends 1,150 feet over the 3.5 miles, although there are a lot of flat sections in the middle. After the intersection with Silver Creek, it climbs very steeply up to the Lower Muley Creek ATV Trail. This trail is open 7/1 - 9/30 for motorized use.
