Trail Overview

Worm Creek is an old jeep road converted to a 50-inch. The trail crosses Worm Creek a dozen times. The creek is seasonal, with heavy snowmelt flow in the spring and dry conditions mid-summer. The trail consists of fun-flowing sections in the scrub maple intermingled with rocky creek crossings and areas that are littered with softball- to bowling-ball-sized rocks. The occasional 20-24-inch rock is thrown in to keep things interesting. The trail has experienced erosion resulting in some rutted and off-camber areas. This is a fun little out-and-back that can be connected to the Thorne Springs Trail to create a loop or access the Slate Rock single track.
