Trail Overview
Get ready for an easy track filled with breathtaking views. This track can be run by any 4x4 vehicle, side by side, ATV, or motorcycle. The beginning of this track starts after a short drive from the Leatherwood Off Road Park. Begin at the general store and drive via Highway 699 traveling west for 5.3 miles. You will turn left on Wolf Creek Road. Travel Wolf Creek Road for 2 miles and Trail 232 will be marked on your right. The vast majority of this trail is a gravel road and can be completed in 2wd depending on the weather. Be on the lookout for wildlife along your route because this is a prime location for black bears, deer, elk, and many other species. As you make your ascent, you will climb out from beneath the forest canopy to wide open spaces with spectacular views from all directions. Be sure to stop and take in the views from atop the mountains and snap a few pictures along the way. This trail will end at what's known as the top of the world. From here your journey ends with a 360-degree view of the mountain tops in the distance with the valleys below. This trail appears to be located next to private property and that is clearly marked in a lot of locations. Be sure to stay on the trail and respect private land owners wishes.
