Trail Overview

A MUST SEE TRAIL!!! It is a well-traveled gravel road on the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, but the beauty is the Abandoned Mine. While this is an obvious local hangout with all the bonfire pits and bits and pieces of trash strewn in front of it, the large opening is massive. The mine does sit on private land, so be aware that while there are not signs that specifically say keep out, it is on private land.

Basically just a gravel road but halfway through there is an old mining site that’s left a large cave. Someone had thrown nails all through out the entrance so driving in could be a bad idea.
