Trail Overview

Rattler Ridge is an optional double black trail off of 124. It starts off tough with an off-camber fin section. You will have two line options here. Keeping the driver tires on the rocks to the left, or the passenger side tires to the rocks on the right. The next section is full of vertical fins that are notorious for hanging you up on the front and rear differentials. Wider vehicles be aware of your tires and wheels against the rocks. The middle section of the trail has a split rock face forcing you to keep your tires placed in the perfect position. Be aware here. This rock face has a severe drop-off on each side. There are plenty of trees to winch from if needed. Once past this rock ledge, you will come to a named obstacle in this track. Fat man's squeeze. It's a tight squeeze between two trees, all while facing a steep drop-off on either side. Once you make it through Fat Man's squeeze, just continue on riding the ridge of the mountain and be ready to make your descent. It could be tricky when muddy. You will end back on trail 124.

Difficulty

Have front and rear traction devices and a winch. You will want to have recovery gear just in case it is needed. Off camber sections are plenty on this track as well as steep rocky ledges to navigate. This is a difficult trail.
