Trail Overview
Baxter Bridge SFC Trail is a very easy gravel trail located in the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. The special part of this trail is it gives access to the Baxter Bridge State Forest Campground as well as multiple places to drop into the Manistee River (non-motorized use). Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Recreation Passport is required, and ORVs are not permitted. The State Forest Campground is a host to many rustic sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Sites are first come, first serve. There is a water pump as well as multiple pit toilets available. Enjoy the beautiful tall Red Pine Trees along this track. You won't be disappointed!
