Trail Overview
The Big O East is one of Michigan's lesser-known single-track opportunities. This trail section requires a bike plate and registration through the Secretary of State (SOS). This requirement automatically limits the traffic. This 24-inch trail is primarily sand with whoops of varying degrees, depending on the season and the last time it was graded. It is maintained regularly but has no extraordinary obstacles. This trail makes for a nice leisurely cruise, with short jogs down paved roads and small snowmobile trails connecting sections.

Difficulty
Sand is your biggest problem on this particular trail. When it has been dry for long periods of time the sand will feel really deep and want to pull at your bike. But if there is any moisture in the ground at all this quickly becomes a fast and flowing trail.
