Trail Overview
FS 5413 is a trail that runs through the Manistee National Forest. This trail will be mostly sand with areas of gravel. There will also be some elevation changes with a couple of uphill and downhill sections. The hills are not usually that bad unless there has been heavy rain recently, which could cause bad washouts. During the spring, or after a heavy rain, there could also be a few muddy spots but they are not usually too bad. This trail would be a challenge in the winter if there was heavy snow due to the hilly sections. The trail is one lane wide in most places but there are plenty of spots to let other traffic by. The foliage is pretty thick on both sides of the trail, so the views are pretty limited. This trail is a fairly easy trail to drive down but weather conditions could make it tough. This trail might be short but it is definitely worth the drive.
