Trail Overview
The trail is nicely wooded with soft-packed sand, with a few sandier sections at intersections and in the corners. In August, mudholes are still possible. Little Leota has many intersections to hop back onto the hard-packed two-track to take you back to the trailhead. This is a wonderful sand trail for beginners or to brush up on your sand skills before heading over to North Leota, which is deep, deep sand through and through.

Difficulty
Most of this trail is hard-packed in August. There are mudholes that might be harder to ride around/through during the rainy season. The rating is based on the rating of North Leota, which has deep sand sections. Keep watch; there are many blind turns.
