Trail Overview
NFS 5151 is a very scenic and easy trail located within the Manistee National Forest. Traversing the trail through an abundance of red pine trees, sweeping around sandy berms, and trudging through mud holes, you're sure to have a great time. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. The MCCCT also intersects this track. There are a few washboard sections to keep an eye out for during your trek. One last thing to mention is this trail is a seasonal trail that is used for snowmobiling during the winter months. Regardless of the conditions, this is a spectacular trail!
