Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 6218 is an easy logging off-road trail. Located near South Queens Highway, this route is easily accessible. The trail starts with some open land where you'll find a very pronounced large dispersed campsite. The trail continues over a small sandy hill before getting into some twisting and tight Michigan Pine trees. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt and wanders through this beautiful forest with great fall foliage. There are many other trails nearby to explore as well. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this track is only wide enough for 1 vehicle. There are a few pull-off spots for passing, though. There are forest logging operations in this area, so please use caution. This is a trail that should be experienced at least once to take in its sincere beauty. If you're looking for a good and large dispersed campsite, this is your spot!
