Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9207 is an out-and-back off-road trail for beginners. Located just east of Newaygo off 82nd Street, this route is easily accessible. This trail is easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt. As you head north on the trail you'll cross over NFS 9208 (Bear Drive), which is another fun trail within the Manistee National Forest. Just beyond this crossover, the trail gets a bit tighter with tree growth overhanging. The trail dead ends with a small turnaround where you can park to start a hike or for hunting. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is an interesting trail!
