Trail Overview
This single-track route is a borderline direct cut-through from many western/central forest roads to the primary Huntersville forest road. The trail winds through some pretty dense evergreen sections with lots of roots. There is also a wooden bridge that assists in passing a wet marsh section given weather. Compared to nearby singletrack Paul Bunyan and Spider Lake Trails, this trail system is generally narrower but has fewer obstacles, fewer inclines and declines, fewer rocks, and less water. There are, however, pretty consistent whoops. They aren't uncomfortable, but they do typically need to be hit fast or the rider needs to stand or sit through the up-and-down roller coaster. The river and woods are very pretty with a nice variety of trees that make for awesome fall colors.
