Ketchum Road Northwest to Cass Lake on the Soo Line North follows an active railroad and US Highway 2, is 12.3 miles long, and takes about 40 minutes with an average speed of 19.3 MPH. Difficulty

The surface is packed gravel and locations with sand. Expect ruts after wet areas dry. Remaining water holes seemed to have hard bottoms, but being able to tell the difference in a wet time of year could be interesting. Several areas had tight turns with slight hills, making oncoming traffic hard to spot.

In Remer, Cass County has trailside parking just off Minnesota State Highway 200/6 at 1st Avenue Southeast and Etna Avenue: 47.05545, -93.91631. This section of trail ends in Cass Lake which has a parking lot along US 2 at Cass County Highway 206: 47.38027, -94.59098
