Trail Overview
This forest road is a pretty drive through many birch trees and other colorful trees in the fall. Overall the road is quite wide but is one car wide as the elevation gain increases. There are multiple pull-off spots and multiple areas for incredible views. Some of the best views and overlooks can be accessed by car on the north shore of Lake Superior. There are a couple of vaulted toilets and a hiking trailhead. This is a minimum-maintenance forest road; it is not graded and some larger ruts are challenging to lower vehicles. The whole area is a day-use-only facility and marked as such, but there are some fire rings and picnic tables at the top. Overall the trail is gravel with some mud but there are almost no signs of puddles or water to cross.

Difficulty
This road overall is quite easy. Stock vans can get up the forest road. However, with the correct rain conditions there are some steep areas and water washout; some spots may be challenging without enough ground clearance.
