Black Mamba

Trail Overview

Black Mamba is just under a mile long. It will loop you back to Ranch Road from Hawkeye. There are steep grades as well as areas that are off-camber and rutted out. A vehicle with 4WD and low range will be needed. Depending on recent rainfall, the grades may require lockers to get up. There is a smaller rock obstacle on one of the grades that would be easier to overcome when going down rather than up. It can be accomplished in a vehicle without lockers. It is very easy to get confused and branch off of Black Mamba as it crosses over Hawk Eye and also insects with Trigger.

Difficulty

There are steep grades at both ends of the trail. There are areas that are rutted and off-camber. Depending on recent rainfall, lockers may be needed when going uphill. The smaller rock obstacle in the picture can be overcome in a vehicle without lockers.
