Trail Overview

This is a 2.5-mile long trail designated for vehicles 50" or less. It departs from the Pipestone Trailhead, which is a large dirt staging area off of Delmoe Lake Road, north of Highway 90 at exit 241. It's mostly a wide dirt road covered in gravel and starts climbing up from the parking area as it goes northwest. It has some steep hill climbs and descents as it gets over the rolling foothills to access more of the trails in the trail system. There's one steeper hill over by the train track about halfway through that makes it a little bit harder for an ATV, but is no problem for a dirt bike. There are small sections of embedded rocks that you have to four-wheel over, like flat boulders jutting out of the road, or jagged chunks of rock sticking up, but they are all pretty easy. Sometimes the road is wide enough that you can just go around the rocks. The rest of the trail is very easy.
