Trail Overview

The Wapiti Creek single track leaves from the Upper Wapiti Trailhead on Forest Service Road 2522. From the trailhead, it starts off as the Oil Well ATV trail, and then the single track peels off on the right side after a minute. It starts as a narrow single track through grassy wide open meadows, going up and over the beautiful rolling mountains. The beginning is easy and smooth, fast and flowy, with some easy side-hilling. About halfway through it goes into the trees and the surface of the trail becomes rockier. It widens up and becomes covered in small embedded rocks, with loose rocks and embedded roots. The trail is lined with boulders and scree in the forest section, but the rocks in the trail stay pretty small, and there are no notable ledges or obstacles. It ends at the intersection with Minnie Wapiti. This trail is open to motorcycles 7/16 - 10/14.
