Trail Overview
Alamo Canyon Road is an easy gravel dusty road. It drives through the Bureau of Land Management Government Lands. On this route you will find cool rock formations, beautiful views and a crazy open dry lake bed that looks like it goes on for miles. Another tempting do not drive on the lake bed, the surface might look dry but there is a chance you will sink deep into a horrible muddy mess. If you are looking for a really nice free campground with bathrooms, tables, grills, and fire pits the Upper Pahranagat Lake Campground is close to this route outside of Alamo City.
