Trail Overview
The Seven Magic Mountains is an outdoor art installation featuring seven painted boulder totems. Most people access the exhibit via a paved road. This route is more adventurous and all off-road. This trail is relatively easy, and the only challenges are a couple of loose rock hill climbs. Any high-clearance vehicle will be fine on this trail through the desert landscape. After several loose hill climbs, you traverse the Jean Roach dry lake area before reaching the Seven Magic Mountain exhibit. First opened on May 11, 2016, Seven Magic Mountains is a large-scale, site-specific public artwork by Rondinone that was nearly five years in the making.
