Trail Overview
Fenway Road (trail number 36) is an out-and-back trail that leads to the water's edge of Arizona Bay. It's an easy dirt road up until the very last section to get to the water, at which time it becomes deep sand through the vegetation and the beach. The vegetation section is more narrow and could brush full-size vehicles. There is a small area before the vegetation where you could park and walk down to the water's edge to not risk getting stuck in the sand. The trail sign states "4x4 Recommended." It would be good to have it as a "just in case" for the sand. Aside from that, on an average day, 4x4 is not needed for the rest of the trail. There are beautiful views across Arizona Bay and the surrounding desert.
