Trail Overview
This is a short ridgeline single track in the OHV Area south of Las Vegas near Nelson, Nevada, with lots of loose hill climbs and descents. The trail is made up of lots of gravel and loose small rocks on loose dirt, making it harder to find traction on the hill climbs. There are tons of yucca and Joshua trees on the sides of the trail to watch out for. The trail generally climbs up as you go north to south, gaining 500 feet of elevation to get an epic view of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area in the distance. You can see multi-colored red and pink rock formations and hills in the background. The trail is pretty narrow in spots and slightly harder because of the loose surface and has some pretty steep climbs. This area is kind of like a maze of trails with many offshoots and other trail options to explore and play on.
