Trail Overview

Coopers Road Connector is located in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Lisbon, New Jersey. The trail runs northwest/southeast through the State Forest and provides a 12-mile loop through the dense trees. The trail is mostly easy, composed of dirt and gravel roads that include water crossings. Along the route, there are also hiking trails and campsite locations. This route is roughly a loop, returning to Savoy Boulevard, 12 miles in total. It can be traveled in either direction. Be courteous to those traveling in the opposite direction or joining from other parts of the forest. For many parts of the year, this area has water crossings. Stay to the sides or utilize parallel ways around.

Difficulty

Expect an uneven or rutted dirt trail in some places with potential for sandy washes. Water crossings can get as high as 18 inches. There's potential for mud holes and trail obstacles up to 12 inches, including short, steep grades. Roads are typically one vehicle wide with places to pass.
